We where headed out of Yokozuna’s in downtown Tulsa and needed an espresso fix. After enjoying delicious Pad Thai a good rich espresso seemed like the next best thing. If you have not been to Joebot’s Coffee Bar inside Dwelling Spaces you should check it out. It is connected to the same building as Yokozuna, so we where just a few steps away.

I asked for a Macchiato, little did I know I was going to get some of the richest and most flavorful espresso I have ever tasted. This roast by Topeca is titled “The Cleavon Little” and is described as being just like the renowned (Oklahoma born) stage and screen actor this espresso is dark, chocolatey, and a little fruity.

The chocolatey flavor was overwhelming. I dreamed I was at Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory drinking from his lake of chocolate. I kept asking myself, “how could espresso have such flavor”. The fruity notes come through at the end and the flavor sticks with you for a while. Can’t wait to enjoy this treat again… soon!

Every Sunday night at some point I like to enjoy a dry cappuccino. I feel like Sunday’s are the quietest day of the week and most of the time at this point in the day I just want to take a nap. It is especially around this time of the year that I start rolling out the hot espresso drinks. There is something about a hot espresso drink, it being cold outside (not really cold today) mixed with the approaching warm holiday season that puts me in a place of pure enjoyment.

With the holiday season approaching what is it that puts you in a state of enjoyment?

Below is a picture of my cool little Disney cup and espresso machine.
