Fish Restaurant Recommendations in Tulsa – Reader Question
Hello…we are frequently looking for a good restaurant for fish…trying to be healthier. We do go to Bodean’s often but trying to find something different. Any ideas out there? Obviously price isn’t a criteria as we know good fish can be pricey.
Thanks,
Michelle

I’ve had some of the best fish in town at Smoke on Cherry Street. They are expert at grilling and I’ve never had swordfish or halibut made so well. They don’t list fish on the menu but they have a daily special, different each day and incredibly inventive, depending on what fish is freshest. One day it was this: http://tulsafood.com/talk/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/IMG_0974-600×450.jpg
Grilled grouper with kale, cherry tomatoes, and rich, sauteed morels in a wonderful smoke-infused broth made by smoking garlic for 4 hours and then braising it in wine. I never knew why people like grouper until now. I’d never had it perfectly cooked until now. And the morels were fabulous beyond description.

Another recent special was swordfish, a big piece perfectly grilled, served with a ratatouille in which each vegetable was grilled to perfection. And then there are scallops…
