Finally made it up here and it was worth the trip. Famous Dave's? Still haven't been back... and still don't really care to. Here's my thoughts on Legends: http://www.tulsafoodguy.com/blog/2011/04/owasso-bbq-its-legen-wait-for-it-dary/

I enjoyed many BBQ lunches and dinners at the Legends Owasso place
and I miss it very much since I am back in Germany after living in Tulsa for 3 years. My favorite was always the sliced brisket and I tried it all over the U.S., but never found a better place for brisket!!! I will be back!!!

I was somewhat intrigued by this comment and a little perplexed, as Tulsa BBQ has been better to me than any others I've tried in the country (haven't tried a ton, so I'm not going to claim it's anywhere near the best, mainly a couple Memphis places that I'd take several of ours over), but anyway... Famous Dave's? Seriously? Maybe the time I went there was a bad day. Famous Dave's might make my Top 15 in Tulsa, but that would be because I've only tried a dozen.

I haven't tried Legends. Guess I need to.

I've had better barbque many times, especially when we lived in Kansas City however as far as Oklahoma barbque goes, its not the worst. The beans are very good and the brisket was not too bad but the ribs are not very good at all. Not falling off the bone tender like barbque ribs should be. The cole slaw they served us last time was damn near inedible. Dry and flavorless. It tasted like sandpaper. I've had much better food in just about any barbcue restaurant in Kansas City, Nashville, Dallas and New York. But hey, if its the best you can find then what the hell. We ate in the Legends in Owasso once and the service was so bad we just do the drive thru now. Really, if you want great barbque and terrific service go down to Famous Daves in Tulsa. Best barbque in Oklahoma.

My favorite BBQ joint in the Tulsa area. I've eaten there for year and they never disappoint. Their BBQ actually has a nice smoky flavor, which I find lacking in a lot of the BBQ around here.
