Out for an afternoon drive, a friend and I stumbled across Freddie’s Hamburgers (not to be confused with the Freddie’s Frozen Custard chain). Freddie’s had been recommended from several different people on Tulsa Food and so we decided to stop in. The building is not much to look at but reminiscent of a grandma’s house with a cozy inviting feel.
This is the type of place that you always hope you will end up at, on a beautiful day. Although we didn’t get to sit at their awesome bar we did sit in the back next to a window. The wait staff was excellent but nothing compared to the food. This is a place that you count on for a good burger. The meat and buns were large and good enough to sink your teeth into. The burgers were big, greasy and delicious, but the real star of our meal was the bacon, cheese fries with jalapenos. Cheesy fries are almost always wonderful but topped with bacon bits and jalapeno just brought cheese fries to a whole new level. Freddie’s had super friendly service; the type that makes you want to go back. It was a beautiful day for a drive with the windows down and a great burger!

Great burgers, always stop in when I can. Great service too, never had them mess up an order. In the true hamburger tradition.

The food is ok. On a scale of 1-5 (five being the best), I would rate this place at a 2. They are very slow and behind in the times. This place seriously needs to updated and expanded. I waited 10 minutes in line just to place my to-go order during late lunch time. This is unacceptable, and the burger wasn’t even that great. However, the food is reasonable priced. If you are into customer service, a great restaurant atmosphere, and excellent food, skip this joint. Also, the parking is ridiculous; this restaurant probably has 10 parking spaces. I will NOT be visiting Freddie’s Hamburger’s on S. Lewis again.

I ordered the jumbo burger with a small order of fries and was very pleased. The burger was very good and the fries were excellent.
The wait is long so expect to add some time if you visit during your lunch break.
As in this side of town and near downtown, not alot of areas exist for parking..

Very good burgers and fries. Try the pineapple shake. Friendly service. Call in your order because the wait can be long.

They look kinda boring, I guess I like my burgers with more lettuce involved… but hey, I’m European which probably explains it.

The food was good, but the severe food poisoning we got from the onion rings wasn’t. I’ll never eat there again.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING! IVE BEEN TO A LOT OF THE BURGER JOINTS AROUND TULSA. FREDDIES BEATS RONS, RED ROBIN, FUDDRUCKERS ANY DAY, NOT ONLY IS THE HAMBURGER HUGE AND TASTES JUICY AND DELICIOUS BUT I DIDNT HAVE TO SPEND A LOT. THE WAIT SOMETIMES TAKES A BIT AND WELL WORTH IT! THE CHEESE FRIES ARE AWESOME! I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN THEY HAD A BUNCH OF STANDS AT THE FAIR TOO! EVERY THURSDAY I TRY AND STOP IN!
