Depending on which direction you are coming from, you can enjoy some of Tulsa’s best espresso (or coffee) followed by the Tulsa area’s best holiday light show. In case you did not know, Broken Arrow’s RHEMA Lights are open until January 1st. The RHEMA Christmas Lights Display was introduced in 1982 with approximately 60,000 lights. Today there are more than two million. We want to encourage you to keep the Holiday spirit going with a warm cup off coffee or espresso from a locally owned coffee shop followed by a visit to the beautiful, inspiring RHEMA Christmas Lights show.

That night we hit Nordaggio’s for their hot latte and cappuccino espresso drinks. Chocolate, Carmella flavors are what you will naturally taste when Nordaggio’s custom roasted coffee beans are mixed with milk. Their espresso is always fresh and some of the best in Tulsa… possibly Oklahoma.

Always one of my favorite things to do at Christmas the Rheema display. It has to please Him when he sees His children celebrate His birth with such joy. And for those who fixate on “we have the date wrong” It’s not the date, it’s the thought and God knows what’s in our hearts, so the “date” really doesn’t matter. Happy birthday Lord, your “cake” is beautiful.

Much closer to Rhema there’s a locally owned coffeehouse:
Stonewood Coffee and Tea — just north of the BA on Elm (161st East
Ave) behind Steak and Shake.

We are an indie espresso coffee, tea shop and deli cafe that has been open in Broken Arrow for just about 4 years. I can see the roof top of the Rhema church from out our drive-up window and in July when Rhema hosts their “Rockets Over Rhema” many, many people flood the parking lot and our coffee shop for cold espresso fraps and fruit smoothies and a special drink we call the JazzBerry lemonade not to mention our pastries, desserts and lunch/dinner items. We are 10 to 12 minutes from downtown Tulsa via the BAXpwy (barring any traffic congestion), exit Elm off of the BA, turn left and we are directly across the parking lot from Steak & Shake and just up the hill from Bass Pro Shops and most recently neighbors to the new St. John’s BA hospital. Urban Tulsa Weekly gave us a triple 5-star review and we are thankful for the many positive reviews our customers have granted us on our Facebook page and by word of mouth to their friends. We would like, if possible, to be included in your list of locally owned indie coffee shops. We are currently having our website reworked but it should be up and running in the very near future (www.stonewoodcafe.com).
