Eat at Tulsa’s Best for Less During Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week Starts This Sunday and Continues September 12 – 18 2010

Are you in the mood to eat at some of the greatest restaurants in Tulsa at a great price, all while helping a great cause? Well this is your week. Restaurant Week starts this Sunday and includes 16 great restaurants. You can pick any restaurant you’d like and get a 3-Course Meal (Lunch or Dinner) at a great price! A three-course lunch will cost you $12.95, and a three-course dinner will set you back $29.95. And yes, that’s three courses: appetizer, entrée and dessert. The price doesn’t include drink, taxes or tip, still it’s a pretty incredible deal.

The coolest thing about this whole deal (besides the awesome food at a great price) is that 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma Food for Kids program. Not only will 10% of proceeds be donated, but The George Kaiser Family Foundation will once again match all Restaurant Week proceeds up to $25,000. Last year, according to the food bank, Restaurant Week raised more than $36,000.

“In 2009, Restaurant Week helped the Food Bank provide a backpack of food every weekend of the school year to 3,120 children, which was a 25-percent increase over the year before,” according to a food bank media release. “This year, Restaurant Week is more crucial than ever because we need to provide backpacks to 3,700 students during the 2010-2011 school year.”

So do your part this year during Restaurant Week! Not only will you be helping kids in our own community, but you will be able to try some awesome food from some of Tulsa’s finest chefs.
