It’s the most wonderful time of the year again! However we are not talking about Christmas, but rather the Tulsa State Fair! The Fair, running from October 1 to October 11, is a smorgasbord of sights, smells, events and most importantly food! This year is no different. In the hundred years since the first Tulsa State Fair, in 1903, many food items have been showcased at the fair as the new exciting food or just one of the most sinfully delicious things that you will ever have the privilege of eating. Many dishes have come and gone but all the old favorites remain: Cheese on a Stick, Funnel Cakes, Turkey Legs and Caramel Apples in addition to many others. Joining the oldies but goodies, and the deep fried madness are a few new creations that are sure to be a hit this year at the Fair. These include Spaghetti shaped ice cream, Kettle Corn on a Stick, Deep Fried Bananas and Australian Fries! We will be looking for some of the most unique fair foods that we can find while there. Hopefully we will find something awesome like deep fried sushi! If you find any interesting food items while at the fair be sure to comment back! Happy eating and enjoy the Tulsa State Fair!

I have a friend that tried this at a State Fair and couldn’t get over how good it was!
This will be my first stop before main course!

I had the spaghetti ice cream in Germany this summer. Delish! You won’t be disappointed! I am also 100% interested in kettle corn on a stick. That sounds brilliant. Can’t wait to read your reviews.

I havent been yet but I saw on the news it is inside the bulding housing all the kids activities.

found this in searching for unique fair foods…Springfield Illinois’ SushiFry at the corner of E. South Grand and S. 9th street has DEEP FRIED SUSHI!!! A whole menu of it but our family favorite is the Springfield Roll…of course.
