A unique coffee experience in Brookside

As you walk in to Shades of Brown, the aromatic fragrance of coffee fills the air and the sound of grinding beans immediately excite the palate. Fresh pastries are made daily and include such treats as scones, a berry or pecan tarte, orange muffins, quiche and many others. Just about any coffee drink you desire is available and tea is made-to-order by using the dried tea leaves of your choice that are then bagged and dipped in a mug filled with hot water.

The atmosphere is eclectic with antique bar stools, a red velour couch and small coffee tables with vintage lamps accompany the olive green reading chairs. there are also a few tables for larger groups to relax and enjoy good conversation over a cup of their choice specialty drink. Melodic folk music softly plays in the background adding to the serene vibe of this small shop.

There are ample electric outlets to plug in your laptop and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Art from local Tulsan’s is showcased on the walls and all the pictures and paintings are available for purchase. Forget those trendy coffee chain stores, Shades of Brown provides great specialty drinks, a laid back setting and an atmosphere of local flair and talent.
