I just left my review (ahem!) of Osaka. Frankly, if it didn't get the Wal-Mart crowd pouring in for steak and seafood, I frankly don't know how this place would stay in business. Asahi is better for sushi.

Oh gosh. I'm glad you had a great experience here cause i've been here 3 times because the people i go with, keep wanting to try it out. First time, i got sushi and i very dissapointed because the rice used was old and the raw fish was not fresh. Second time, i tried hibachi. The chef was probably having a bad day because he didn't put on a "show", he just cooked and the food was okay. Third time i went was for a birthday party and we had to wait an extra hour for our reservation! When we finally sat down, the waiter was unprofessional we never got our drinks refilled. Food was okay but for the price, not worth it. BEWARE! If you order hibachi and some people at your table don't order it, the chef will evenly distribute it to everyone for a little sample and you end up with not as much food. I ordered 1 of 3 steaks and everyone got a sample of our steaks. That's a sample for 7 extra people! We all were kinda confused but didn't say anything. Left hungry.

Horrible. They tried way too hard to make the place look trendy, but the service and experience was very low par. They tried way too hard to make the plate look nice, but the food was sub=par. Over salty, over greasy, over stylized. Screams Inexperience. Should have started with a small, intimate setting and learned what they were doing before opening up this silly excuse for a restaurant. Go to Memories of Japan or Sushi House in B.A. if you care about Sushi. Steer clear of this place.

Went to Osaka Sunday, mindful that a lot of people here and at work have mentioned poor service, it was a good "show" but I definitely felt like they get you in and out FAST, it was a birthday dinner and they left us no time to socialize. Probably won't go back for hibachi, can say I've been there, done that.

My husband and I went to Osaka last night. The service was as you said horrible, and the food was mediocre at best. I think there are better places in Tulsa to get sushi and hibachi. Probably won't go back.

I sincerely hope the service is better than the 51st St location. I took my family there for dinner one night and I was mistakenly under the impression that they served sushi as well. When I asked the waitress about it you would've thought I just asked for a cheeseburger! She was very hateful and rude. Overall the service was poor and the food mediocre. We've never gone back, but I think we'll give this new location a try for our next sushi craving. The photos are absolutely mouth-watering!

Osaka does have some decent food but the service really leaves something to be desired. When you get to the bottom line, it is technically a chain restaurant. If you want Really Great shushi, I highly recommend, locally owned, Flying Fish Sushi Bar at 108th & Memorial in Bixby. My mom grew up in Japan and consequently I grew up with a very heavy Japanese influence. I know great sushi when I find it, and in NE Oklahoma, Flying Fish has it.
