Fast, Affordable, Quality Asian Cuisine is Thriving in South Tulsa

Imagine it is late on a work night and you’re charged with picking up dinner somewhere in South Tulsa. Where can you go for a hot, fresh meal that offers fresh vegetables, all white chicken and even made to order all with the convenience of a drive-thru?
The answer? Asian Fusion.
Owners Joanne Chong and Bruce Lau, along with General Manager Enrique Corretjerisoto developed this convenience concept that offers friendly, customer service and a traditional dining room along with a drive-through option, all open until 9 PM, Monday through Saturday.

This is her fourth Tulsa restaurant where she faithfully recreates her version of Malaysian street food recipes, most learned from her family. And none of her recipes include anything frozen or pre-cooked.
Spices and sauces are what defines Malaysian food with a rich blend of curry spices, chili spices, Thai chili and even ghost peppers for that extra spicy kick. Naturally, Asian Fusion boasts made-in-house sauces whenever possible.
Additionally, some of the dishes can be made gluten-free and are easily identified on the menu with a bright green “GF”. Moreover, Asian Fusion includes only cooked sushi on their menu—nothing raw – perfect for those that want to explore a more adventurous Malaysian dining experience.
On the day we visited, we tried the generously portioned Combo Appetizer which includes an egg roll, two wontons and four pot stickers. With exceptional tastes of savory and spicy, this might easily be a light dinner or lunch for those with a smaller appetite.
It’s difficult to choose which authentic Malaysian special I most enjoyed. TheKway Teow, a stir fry dish with your choice of meat and a flat rice noodle, was decidedly light and flavorful.
But the Mee Siam, a stir-fry vermicelli with shrimp, chicken, tofu, onion, scallion and egg, is truly a tasty standout.
For those that enjoy sushi rolls, try the Spicy California Rollcreated with a combination of crab, avocado, cucumber and a special hot sauce. My personal favorite is the Fusion Roll a medley of crab, tempura shrimp, cream cheese, avocado, scallion, masago, hot sauce, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Again, this is large enough to serve as a light meal and oh, so good!
