It was Sunday afternoon, another beautiful Spring day in Tulsa. We wanted a patio, a burger and some down time. We just wanted to hang. The first restaurant that popped in my head was Campus Grill. We love their burger (weighing in at 1/2 pound) and I have been hearing things about a killer Memphis Style Pulled Pork sandwich.

Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekly chalkboard specials that will satisfy any appetite, Campus Grill is one of those restaurants that is perfect for any meal. We love sitting outside, but even the inside of the restaurant is cool. The dining areas are lined with windows on one side, which really brings in natural and refreshing light. By night, the grill is ideal for meeting friends or a great spot for before a game or event at The University of Tulsa. Located around 11th and Harvard, Campus Grill is centrally located and is suitable for big groups or an intimate dinner date.

I jump at any opportunity to try a Memphis Style Pulled Pork sandwich. Campus Grill makes theirs with sweet coleslaw, dill pickles on top and moist, slow cooked BBQ pulled pork. What an amazing combination, sweet, dill and some babachew, I love this sandwich. I should tell you that this sandwich is large but I still didn’t share any of it with my wife. Don’t forget to order a side of hand battered onion rings.

Among a line up of delicious sandwiches and entries, Campus Grill also has a burger that is worth trying if you are a burger lover like me. This time my wife got the burger and she loved it. It actually happens to be one of her favorite burgers around town. No description necessary, just look at the picture above.

Sounds great! Since Campus Grill is a spinoff of famed Brookside By Day, I bet they have great breakfasts too!

The pulled pork looks great, even the bit of charring on the meat. The slaw on top has me wondering what that combination is like. Will have to check that out!
