Bring White Castle to Tulsa!
I started this petition awhile back, but then never really followed through to drum up support, so I thought I’d bring it here to Tulsa Food Talk and see if we could get this thing rolling. In short, a White Castle franchise would be perfect for this city and I think we owe it to ourselves, as fellow Tulsa food lovers, to at least try to make some noise! Read more on my thoughts on why Tulsa NEEDS a White Castle, or if you’re feeling lazy, just go straight to the petition and make your voice heard at http://www.bringwhitecastletotulsa.com. Tell your friends, tell your neighbors. Tweet It, Facebook It, Like It, Love it. Digg It, MySpace it (bwahahaha), YouTube it. WUPHF it! Stand on your rooftop and scream and shout it!
Thank you for your support!

Hi my name is Bill Uhre I am the Ex Producer & Director of the upcoming film that will be release in 2012 White Castle What America Craves. I have lived in Tulsa for 13 years now. It is great to see your petition however White Castles are not franchised they are owned by one family for 90 years this year. The Ingram family it would be there decision and they mover slowly they have 443 restaurants in 12 states. I can tell you from dealing with them personally Tulsa is on there list but it is down quite a ways and would probably be 10-15 years before we would see one. No one loves them more than I do I grew up in Brooklyn NY and had my first one at 5 I was hooked. This is why I am creating the film to tell the amazing story of the square little hamburger. If you want to know more write back or go to facebook and search for White Castle What America Craves lots of info there.

That’s pretty much what I’ve heard in my research, Bill. You’re killing my petition though!
I guess I should move on to bringKrystaltotulsa.com back-up plan. Or I could romance an Ingram heiress… I’m sure the wife would be ok with that if it was for The Greater Good!
It is truly a shame that many Tulsans may never taste the greatness of a REAL White Castle burger.
YES WE CAN!!!

I agree they will just have to take a drive to Eureka, MO the closest one to Tulsa by six flags amusement park. I hate it too but what can I do.

I JUMP UP AND DOWN WAVING MY ARMS IN EXCITEMENT!!! over the idea of bringing Krystals to Tulsa! I am from east Tennessee and grew up with a Krystals right next to the mall. I’m from a very small area where the town I actually lived in doesn’t even have a red light so it really was our fun to the go the mall and eat somewhere. I introduced my fiancee to Krystal’s when we went for a visit last year and he was IMMEDIATELY addicted. It really is a taste of home I truly miss and would love to see here SOOOOO GOOOODDDDD*DROOL*

They are far worse than McDonald’s. I have lost count of the number of White Castle burgers I’ve eaten, solely for convenience since they are the only 55¢ high-protein small snack available. So I know them. But I don’t miss them.
