Kids are in school, the weather is finally becoming comfortable again and the aisles of stores are crammed with folders and pencils with Disney characters on them; This can mean only one thing: Fall is on its way!

Leaving summer behind and looking forward to the autumn to come there are many events in Tulsa that are perfect for expanding your mind and horizons.  For me, this fall, I am looking forward to some of the awesome cooking classes offered at TCC.  TCC has an entire collection of continuing education classes ranging from computer classes, time management, photography, art and cooking.

We at Tulsa Food are looking forward to two classes in particular this fall.  The first is a cookie bouquet class in which you learn how to decorate cookies like a pro.  It is a great skill to learn and an inexpensive way to make a delicious gift for any occasion.  The cookie bouquet class is $49 and takes place on two Saturday mornings, October 17th and October 24th from 9am until noon.

The second class is a Wedding Cake decorating class specializing in fondants and gumpaste.  This class is a great way to save money and have fun making cakes for friends and family.  In this class they will teach techniques necessary in decorating wedding cakes, including making flowers, bows, borders and multi-tiered cakes.  The Wedding Cake class is also $49 and takes place on two Saturday mornings, November 7th and November 14th from 9am until noon.  For information on either of these classes visit www.tulsacc.edu/ce or call 918-595-7766.
