The day we went to Harden’s may have been the last beautiful spring like day in Tulsa. After a walk around the Tulsa Zoo, we decided to get a good Burger. Many friends have told us that Harden’s is exactly that place for good burgers. Since we were in the area, we decided to drop in and try them out.
The lady behind the counter told us that this was the best place to get burgers in Tulsa. That was exciting. I just asked for the most popular burger on the menu, so she hooked me up with the Bob burger. It was good, the first few bites reminded me of In-n-out burger in California but then I start to taste the extra spices and flavors from the patty. It lit up my palate to great bliss. The burger was really good. The great experience extended even to their onion rings and fries. I would say that Harden’s is great place to take guests so remember this spot. Oh yeah, I hear the chill is really good too.

Hardens is back to curly fries which is better than the frozen regular fries they had before. These are dry though. My family likes the original ones Mr. Harden started with. Its just not the same and you dont get enough. The burgers used to be my favorite but I believe Ikes has them beat.

We visited the 4th & Sheridan location for lunch today, (December 29th and something was wrong! We waited in line for over 30 minutes, and after we ordered it took 40 minutes to get our food. The burgers were good (not as good as Scotts in Bixby or May’s in north Tulsa 30 years ago)but the curly fries were skimpy and not very warm. I’m also a little confused by the 25c extra for a drink refill. Sounds like they are nickel and dimeing you. The place was crowded but I have never been anywhere that it took this long to cook a hamburger. I probably won’t return.

Redeemed a Groupon for 2 cheeseburger dinners. This was the basic 1/4 lb burger. I ordered my wife’s well done without cheese and and asked that her cheese be added to mine (assuming that it would be done with a touch of pink, as their sign promised). After a long wait, both came out well done (maybe even overdone) and without cheese at all. Fries were warm, not hot. Altogether very disappointing. You would think that they would try to put their best forward on a Groupon to make sure we returned. As it is, I would only return to give them a 2nd chance, not because we were impressed and wanted to come back.
