Bodean Seafood – Fine Dining for the Perfect Date Night
With Oktoberfest and Halloween with the kids coming up, this might be the last weekend to get a nice romantic dinner in. Brian and I had the chance to visit Bodean Seafood Restaurant and Fish Market. Wow. I cannot believe this beautiful gem is tucked away in South Tulsa. This is definitely a fine-dining restaurant intended for special occasions. I am hoping to go on a date there sometime soon!
First of all we toured the restaurant. Beautiful modern atmosphere with splashes of color all around. All of the artwork and decoration pieces at Bodean’s is made by local artists. Very impressive! There are 2 private dining rooms, one is a board seating 18 people, and the other room seats 30 people with a beautiful plasma screen television for presentation purposes. A beautiful bar and lounge area is great for a nice dinner with a group or special date. The main dining area is very formal/classy with white tablecloths draping every table and wine glasses occupying each place setting.
There are many engagement proposals, anniversaries and other milestones celebrated at Bodeans. Executive chef Tim Richards is well known for his beautiful dishes and uniquely prepared food. The menu changes everyday of the week and people look forward to the fresh seafood at Bodean’s. Their Wine List contains over 100 bottles of wine from all over the world.
I was fascinated to learn that all seafood at Bodean’s is flown in fresh twice a day from around the world. They only use the freshest ingredients and make everything from scratch. At Bodean Seafood Market, you can find very unique seafood from all over the world. Nothing is flash-frozen, so it is very fresh! Alaskan Halibut, Pompano, Swordfish, Cardine, Artic Char, Bluenose Sea Bass, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Yellow Fin Tuna, Scallops, Cockles, Little Neck Clams and Black Mussels are a few that they are offering this week. Many of the restaurants in Tulsa purchase seafood from Bodean Seafood Market to serve at their restaurants. Fresh baked bread is made every morning, as well as an assortment of pastas, meats and spices. Mozzarella is also a house-made favorite.
