What a great lunch I had at Oscar’s Gastro Pub in Downtown Tulsa at 1738 S. Boston Ave. Even though it was a co-workers’ last day and a little sad, Oscar’s definitely made up for it with their trendy contemporary atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food. It was so spacious inside with wonderful wood flooring and trendy furniture. To start I had the beer batter green beans with spicy lemon aioli, what a great way to get in two of your favorite food groups, fried and vegetables. I then had the…..well I think it was called the chicken salad BLT sandwich on toasted bread, I’m not sure but you get the yummy picture and if not check out this one I took! On the side were the best sweet potato fries I have every had and I loved that they were crinkly!

Excellent service is a must at certain establishments. Here are Anthony Bourdain’s thoughts on how waiters should treat their customers. http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Anthony_Bourdain/Video/How_Should_Waiters_Treat_Customers?fbid=39AJoxoq6uN

I absolutely loved OSCARS and was horrified to hear that it is now closed!! What happened?! Perhaps too much waisted space? This totally would have worked better at a smaller location in a different spot. In Tulsa, it’s all about location!! The food was the best!! Now where am I going to get my Spicy Chicken wrap w/ yummy sweet potato fries?!
And the meatloaf?!! The absolute best and worth the money!!!
