It’s the weekend, late morning. Not quite feeling breakfast, not quite feeling lunch. There’s no better solution than a good ‘ole brunch. Brunch at Sarah’s fits the bill for a hole-in-the-wall breakfast/lunch place. It just reminds you of one of those places “where the locals eat.” Very small, yet cozy with plates flying out of the kitchen. Located in the shopping center at 81st and Yale right next to Farrell Family Bread, and yes…they do serve some of Tulsa’s best bread products on the menu.

This late morning I was really feeling breakfast and since it was my first time at Brunch at Sarah’s, I wanted to sample their breakfast offering. It was a great breakfast. Thick slices of ham, good bacon, seasoned sausage patties and one of the stars of the plate were the rosemary potatoes. But Brunch at Sarah’s offers so much more than just the traditional breakfast.

The menu at Brunch at Sarah’s consists of breakfast, sandwiches and even a burger. One of my guests was thinking innovation. His meal was the combination of a sandwich and a wrap…he got the breakfast wrap. Just look at the picture below…tons of bacon, eggs and a layer of cheese perfectly wrapped up. Next time I know what I’m getting.

Everyone at the table got biscuits and gravy with their meal. Thick, white, peppery gravy served with a flaky biscuit. It was just as good as it looks.

There are so many other great items at Brunch at Sarah’s such as a the Banana Nut Waffles and Hot Sandwiches. Sarah’s is very cozy with a hometown feel. The service was speedy and even included a little playful humor. I can see it becoming a neighborhood favorite.

The sandwiches are superb. I’ve eaten there many times.
I noticed I was overcharged by $9 on my last visit. I brought my receipt and bank statement in at their request to help them reconcile the error. They blamed the overchange on their credit card processing service. They refused to credit me or give a gift certificate.
It’s a shame their service is horrible, because the food is excellent. I will not be back.
