It’s almost time to give 2016 the boot, but before we do, how about making your last meal of 2016 an indulgent one at a one of these fantastic local restaurants. Dining out for a luxurious dinner has become one of my favorite New Year’s Eve traditions, because even if I don’t make it to midnight (hello, old age!), I feel like I’ve celebrated the year with people I love and am prepared for all the blessings 2017 will bring. New Year’s Eve reservations are highly, highly recommended, no matter where you dine and always be courteous to the hardworking staff that are making your evening special. New Year’s Eve Dinner at Torero
Saturday, December 31 5:00 – 11:00 p.m.
A meal at Torero Bar and Kitchen will be the perfect way to begin your evening before you ring in the New Year. The special three-course menu will be perfectly paired with a variety of bubbles. This is not a timed event, so relax and take in the last moments of 2016 with loved ones. Dinner is just $40, $70 with wine pairings. Here’s a peek at their menu. Try not to drool on your screen and, again, make your reservations for a Spanish and Latin inspired evening.

Ring in the New Year at Virgola
Saturday, December 31 5:00 p.m. to Midnight
The world is your oyster, and nowhere is that more true than at Virgola on Brookside. Virgola is the destination for east and west coast oysters (sorry, no gulf oysters here, folks), imported charcuterie and Italian wines that are sure to prime you for that midnight kiss. A table for two includes 12 Oysters, Ceviche, Shrimp Cocktail and Tuna Tartar, choice of three Salumi, Formaggi or Insalate, your very own bottle of Virgola Prosecco, plus dessert and coffee. Cost is $125 per couple for our 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. seating. The 10 p.m. seating is $135 per couple has an additional glass of Prosecco and oyster toast at midnight! Antoinette Baking Co. New Years Eve Pie Night
Saturday, December 31  7:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Nothing could top off 2016 better than a slice (or two) of pie from Antoinette Baking Co. From 7-10 p.m. they will be serving up New Year’s Eve themed pies along with, champagne, of course. They also have a full bar and have some fantastic wintry mixes that are sure to put a little holiday pep in your step. And it’s not a proven fact, but we’re pretty sure starting 2017 with a belly full of pie means good fortune for the year to come. (Antoinette is an all-ages establishment, so bring in the kiddos for a special slice!)

New Year’s Eve at Mixed Company
Saturday, December 31  4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. 
One of the few places that will be serving food AND will be keeping the party going well past midnight is MixCo. They will have a special three course dinner for $40 per person, and you may add specially paired wines with the dinner for an additional $20 (that’s a heckuva deal!). Dinner includes one complimentary glass of bubbles. Reservations for later in the evening are booked, but you can still get your party started earlier in the evening (6 and 7 p.m. reservations still available). You can also have a seat at their well-appointed bar until 8 p.m. To make reservations, please email Seating will be limited.
