Out on a drive I felt compelled to alert you that Runt’s in Broken Arrow is out of business. I went there once, a few months back and didn’t realize that they might be a business in distress. The dining room was full on a cold day and the BBQ was pretty decent. It’s too bad they could not last longer. It looks like Broken Arrow is getting a ton of new developments off the BA Expressway near Bass Pro Shop and it is a shame that Runt’s couldn’t make it in a soon to be amazing location. I was very impressed with the investment that has gone into retail space in this part of Broken Arrow. But if you are looking to fulfill your dream of owning your very own restaurant, or perhaps a BBQ joint, then the building is for sale. It looks like it’s going to be a sweet spot here in a few years.

I have heard it many time’¦Tulsa is a restaurant city; however, that does not mean that all restaurants will make it.
What did you think of Runt’s BBQ when open?? Love it? Hate it?

I drove by the area last week and the sign now reads “Coming Soon” but Runt’s name is still up there…I wonder.

Coming Soon is a fantastic new concept that is going to do well in the old Runt’s location. It is called Gameday Tailgate Grill. Food like you find at a sporting event tailgate.

Runt’s Muskogee is still open. That’s the original branch … and worth the drive!

I have read good things about that Runts… but after I tried the one in BA I never had any desire to try the one in Muskogee. There are a couple other very good BBQ joints in that town, so if/when I’m down there, I’m likely to bypass Runts.
